On this page
A coffee syrup dispenser is a glass or plastic bottle with a pump that pours a measured dose, usually 1/4 oz, of syrup per press. For a home syrup station, a practical setup is 3 to 4 matching pump bottles, a pump that fits each bottle, a small rack or riser, and a label on every flavor.
This guide covers pump vs pour bottles, a fit chart for Monin, Torani and Jordan’s bottles, bottle sizes, racks, creamer holders and 10 picks. The picks are research-based: I compared Amazon listings, ratings and specs on October 25, 2026, and I haven’t used these dispensers myself.
How do you set up a coffee syrup station?
To set up a coffee syrup station, pick 3 or 4 everyday flavors, put them in pump bottles that fit, group them on a riser or rack beside the coffee maker, and label each bottle. Leave about 6 inches of counter in front of the bottles for a mug.
- Choose flavors. Vanilla, caramel and one seasonal syrup cover most drinks.
- Match pumps to bottles. Use the fit chart below before you buy.
- Measure the height. Read the bottle height with the pump up, then compare it with the gap under your upper cabinets.
- Group the bottles on a rack, riser or tray that catches drips.
- Label and date every bottle, especially homemade syrup.
Standard upper cabinets sit about 18 inches above the counter. A 750 ml dispenser is 14.6 inches tall with the pump up, so it fits with room to press, but a riser can push it too high. More counter layouts are in my countertop coffee station guide.
Pump bottles or pour bottles: which is better?
Pump bottles are better for a daily coffee bar, because every press gives the same 1/4 oz dose and the spout doesn’t drip down the bottle. Pour bottles with a spout or swing top are better for syrups you use once a week, small batches and gifts.
The table below compares the two for a home station.
| Pump bottle | Pour bottle | |
|---|---|---|
| Dose | Fixed, 1/4 to 0.3 oz per press | Free pour or measure with a jigger |
| Mess | Low; tip covers keep spouts clean | Drips on the neck |
| Best for | Daily flavors, guests, kids | Homemade batches, rare flavors |
| Cleaning | Flush pump at each refill | Wash bottle only |
Which syrup pump fits which bottle?
Syrup pumps are brand-specific: Monin glass bottles need a Monin-fit pump, while Torani, DaVinci and Jordan’s 750 ml bottles share universal pumps. The ALPENKOK listing says its pumps do not fit Monin 750 ml glass bottles, and Monin sells a separate pump for its 1-liter plastic bottles.
The fit chart below comes from each pump’s listing and Monin’s FAQ.
| Pump | Dose per press | Fits | Does not fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monin 750 ml glass pump | 1/4 oz (7.5 ml) | Monin 750 ml glass bottles | Monin 1 L plastic, Torani |
| ALPENKOK 4-pack | About 0.3 oz (10 ml) | Torani, DaVinci, Jordan's 750 ml | Monin glass |
| Jordan's Skinny Mixes pump | 1/4 oz | Jordan's Skinny Mixes 750 ml | Check other brands first |
| Pumps in glass dispenser sets | 1/4 oz (Demi's Home) | The set's own bottles | Store bottles |
Dose math is simple: a 25.4 oz bottle at 1/4 oz per press gives about 101 pumps. My homemade coffee syrup guide shows how many pumps to use per drink size.

What size glass syrup dispenser do you need?
Most people need 16.9 oz (500 ml) glass dispensers for homemade syrup and 25.4 oz (750 ml) dispensers to hold a full store bottle. The 500 ml size holds about one homemade batch, so the syrup finishes before its fridge life runs out.
- 16.9 oz (500 ml): the common 4-bottle sets with gold pumps and labels. Good for homemade syrup.
- 25.4 oz (750 ml): Demi’s Home makes a 4-pack that takes a whole Torani or Monin bottle, so nothing is left over after decanting.
- Silicone sleeves: the GYOSUGANG set adds non-slip sleeves, helpful on a wet counter.
Coffee syrup racks, stands and organizers
There are 3 main types of coffee syrup racks: stepped tier racks, rotating turntables and simple risers. Stepped racks fit a long straight counter, turntables fit corners, and a 2-tier riser works when you only have 3 or 4 bottles.
- Stepped rack: the YQBRAO rack holds 16 bottles on 4 tiers and measures 17.1 in deep × 14 in wide × 13.1 in tall. Each shelf is rated for 20 lb.
- Rotating turntable: the THYGIFTREE rack holds 9 bottles on a 13.4-inch round base that spins to the flavor you want.
- Riser or tray: for 3 or 4 bottles, a tray under the bottles catches drips.
Measure the counter depth before buying a stepped rack. A 17.1-inch rack on a 25-inch-deep counter leaves about 8 inches in front, enough for a mug but not a machine. If your bar lives in a sideboard, my coffee bar cabinet guide lists top depths.
Where should creamer go on a syrup station?
Creamer belongs in the fridge, not on the counter, so the station needs a small pitcher you fill per use or a creamer you pull from a fridge nearby. A 12 oz glass creamer with a sealing lid fits a fridge door and pours straight into the mug.
The OXO Good Grips glass creamer holds 12 oz, has a drip-free spout and two silicone seals, and stands 5.25 inches tall. For a crowd, fill it right before guests arrive and put it back in the fridge after.

How do you label syrup bottles?
Label syrup bottles with the flavor on the front and the date you made or opened it on a second line. The date matters most for homemade syrup, which keeps about a month in the fridge. Waterproof vinyl or laminated labels survive syrup drips and wiping.
Pre-printed vinyl labels such as KYONANO’s 84-label sheet (2.75 × 1.96 in, 74 flavors and 10 blanks) save time. Printable labels let every bottle match your station. I compare all the options in coffee bar labels.

Frequently asked questions
How do you clean coffee syrup pumps?
Pump hot water through the pump until it runs clear, then soak the pump in warm soapy water, rinse and pump clean water through again. Let it dry before it goes back on a bottle. Clean it each time you refill or switch flavors, so old syrup doesn't harden in the tube.
Can you put a pump on a 1-liter Monin bottle?
Yes, but not the same pump as the glass bottle. Monin makes a separate pump for its 1-liter plastic bottles, and Monin says its syrup pumps dispense 1/4 fl oz per press. Check the bottle type on the pump listing before you order.
Should coffee syrup be refrigerated after opening?
Store-bought syrups like Torani and Monin are shelf stable, so an opened bottle can stay on the counter; follow the date on the label. Homemade syrups are different. Keep them in the fridge and use them within about a month, or about a week for fruit syrups.
What size syrup pump do Starbucks use?
Tasting Table puts a café syrup pump at about 1/2 oz, while home pumps from Monin and Jordan's give 1/4 oz. That is why a 3-pump tall latte from a café needs about 6 home pumps to taste the same, which is often sweeter than you want at home.
